Heath sighed as he stood out of the direct view of the football field. Running a hand through his hair, he looked through the bleachers to see if anyone was there. Not a soul in site. Lighting a cigarette, he layed back on the ground and enjoyed the freedom he felt. His white button up shirt was half unbuttoned at the top, untucked from his 'navy blue' slacks that were slightly faded from wash. He was laying his head on his jacket, almost uncaring if the ashes fell on it.
Hopefully, since he was laying down, the smoke would all but be invisible by the time anyone could see it. It wasn't like people came out to the football field looking for kids who were smoking, though. Normally, he would go off the premises to smoke but that might make people feel like that had to come talk to him. That is what he didn't want.

Braelyn Stepped onto the edge of the football field, soccer ball in hand. Being new to the school she still wasn’t sure where exactly she could practice, and figured since nobody was around and no games were being played, why not use the football field?
She walked over to the bleachers and sat down, pulling her cleats out of her backpack and trading them for the heeled shoes the school makes you were. Pulling the school mandatory skirt off revealed the small shorts she was wearing under her white blouse was a white tank top. She kept the schools knee high socks on, and slipped her kneepads beneath them. Braelyn had the legs and the hips to pull off an outfit like this, but it still wasn’t something she would wear to practice in back home.
Picking up the ball and walking to the sidelines she tossed the ball in the air and began a leg warm up. Keeping the ball in the air as long as she could, using only her legs, head, and chest. She soon became lost in her game, moving farther and farther away from where she started, not noticing as she ran all over the field, kicking and dribbling the ball, practicing fake outs and spins.
Braelyn took a running start on the ball, meaning to kick it back to where her stuff was still sitting untouched on the bleachers, but slipped just before making contact, sending the ball in a completely different direction. It sailed passed the bleachers, in behind them in what looked like a secluded spot.
“Crap” She muttered to herself, beginning to jog in the direction her ball had gone.

Heath smiled and watched this newcomer as she undressed before him without feeling guilt. Instead, he leaned back and watched as she changed and took off to the field. She is pretty good. He thought to himself as he watched her. She went from warming up to soccer drills smoothly. He also noticed that she kept moving closer to the bleachers. He moved back father, just in case she might have the chance of seeing him. Dropping his cigarette, he stomped on it and made sure it was out.
The ball went passed the bleachers and he could see it caught in the middle of two bushes. She might not be able to see it, but then again maybe she could. Maybe after a while he would come out, maybe not. He wanted to get the smell of smoke away so he wouldn't be in trouble for smoking on campus. Well, in truth he didn't see that in the rules he agreed to , so perhaps he could claim ignorance if they were, and if they weren't he really didn't do anything wrong. Either way was good for him.

I decided to leave my stuff where it was as I went in search for my ball, I really doubted any would come along and steal her uniform and textbooks. I traveled in the direction I thought it had gone passing the edge of the bleachers and moving out of the field. I scanned the area, hoping to get a quick glimpse of black and white.
I huffed loudly when I didn’t see it, placing my hands on my hips in annoyance. Taking another, slower glance around I started walking, looking under bleachers and tables. “Shit” I mumbled out loud, with nobody around to hear me I didn’t think anything of it.
Stopping where I was I sighed and gave up, deciding I should probably get back to my stuff. Taking one last quick glance around I started my way back towards to bleachers I had originated from.
I can always get a new ball I told myself, I’m sure there was a place in Sunset Creek that sold sports equipment.

"It's in the bushes." Heath informed her, moving forward out of the bleachers to lean on the fence posts. "Need some help?" Without waiting to get a reply, Heath moved forward and down the hill. Thinking of the big picture, he went to the bush he thought it went into and pulled the branches back to reveal the ball. Keeping the poking branches back with his arm, Heath reached it and grabbed the ball.
Tossing the ball in the air, Heath caught it and smirked at her. "Want it back?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at her. He tossed it back and forth between his hands, staying a good distance away from her so she couldn't just come and take it. Tossing it up in the air again, this time higher, he hit it with his head and this time when it came back down, caught it. "What your doing doesn't look too hard." He informed her.

A sudden voice sounding behind me caused me to jump, spinning on the spot to face who ever it was. A guy only a few inches taller then myself stood in front of me, with straight hair falling into his deep brown eyes. He didn’t wait for a reply from me; instead he just took off in the direction I had just previously come from in search of my ball.
I waited for him to return, wondering if he would indeed have my ball, and no sooner had I thought it, he appeared in front of my once again, soccer ball in hand. I held up my hands, motioning for him to throw it at me, still not saying anything. He didn’t through it to me; instead he tossed it back and forth between his hands, looking at me with a crooked smile and a single arched eyebrow.
I raise an eyebrow at him, slightly amused as he tossed it high in the air and bounced it off his head, catching it again. My other eyebrow rose to match the one currently raised, slightly surprised at his latest comment. “You were watching me?” I asked, that had been my warm up, something I did at the beginning of practice. Which means he had been hidden somewhere near by the entire time.
I wasn’t as angry as I thought I would be, in fact, I wasn’t angry at all, just amused. I gave him my most arrogant smile and took a single step in his direction. “Give it a try then, impress me” I said, taking another half step towards him. I wasn’t very far away from him now, three steps at most.
“Unless your afraid of a little challenge? It’s alright, just saves you an ass kicking” I winked at him, taking one final step as I spoke, and made a sudden grab for the ball, hoping to catch him off guard.

"You had come when I was relaxing behind the bleachers. Is it my fault that you choose that time to come? I would have left in only a few moments later, but then who else would come around but a little girl with a ball." He said, continuing to toss it back and forth. With a grin, he only watched in amusement as she started in his direction. He had been smoking, but he sure wasn't going to be telling her that. Not so she could go running to get him in trouble for it. He hadn't started a fire or anything, so all was done and accounted for.
Heath dropped the ball, only just barely catching the movement she was making for the ball. She had almost had it, shit. Placing his foot firmly on the ball, he bent that knee and leaned forward on it. "I'm not afraid of a challenge, girl." He did not know her name, so that would suffice for now. "And I'll let you know that the point of the game is to kick the ball, not my ass...though it's nice to know w your thinking about." He winked back at her before landing a hard kick that sent the ball uphill. "Race for it?" He asked, not even letting the words out of his mouth before he started to run. So he played cheap, so sue him.

It was clear I had caught him by surprise when I made my sudden grab for the ball, and I laughed when he dropped it, catching it just before it could hit the ground. I was enjoying our friendly banter, he was the first person at SCA I had met and things were so far so good. My eyebrows shot up at his comment about his ass, and I laughed out loud, throwing my head back.
It caught me by surprise when he suddenly gave my ball a good hard boot, sending it half way across the field. No sooner had he done that and challenged me to a race he was gone, taking off before I could make a single move. “Cheat!” I yelled, and took off after him, smiling all the while. My shorts had to be better for running in then the navy blue slacks of the school uniform, giving me a slight upper hand. I was gaining on him, my longs legs built strong from the years of running and working out pumping hard to catch up with the man.
As we drew nearer to the ball it appeared that we would reach it at the same time, and I chanced a glance at him who now stood running right beside me. I smirked, an idea forming in my head, and I grit my teeth and tried for one last push, urging my legs to pass his. In the span of a moment, I lunged and slid across the grass, successfully booting the ball out of his line of path and instead putting myself in it. He realized to late that he would trip over me, and no sooner had I covered my face with my arms just in case, I felt him collide and then I heard the thump of him hitting the ground.
I got up quickly, hoping that I hadn’t hurt him, and stood in front of him, grinning cockily. I held out my hand to him, “By the way, I’m Braelyn.”
