Name: Kayla Steger [What do you go by?]
Age: 14 [How old are you?]
How long have you been role playing?: Two years
Role play sample:
I opened my Biology book, then closed it again.
"Stupid science. Stupid school. Stupid life." I snatched my iPod off of the table, stuck the ear buds in my ears, and blasted Let the Flames Begin by Paramore. I closed my eyes, ready to head-bang into oblivion, when the headphones were pulled roughly out of my ears.
"Hey, what gives?" I turned my swivel chair to face my roommate. Her green eyes, usually so inviting and sparkly, just looked like a long, dark, emerald tunnel. I shuddered.
"You really do know how to creep a person out," I said, looking at my own blue eyes in the reflection of the computer monitor. I opened my biology book again.
"I was just studying," I lied with a believably innocent smile. She shook head.
"What?" She had a knack for not telling me what was wrong. I swung my leg around, hitting the back of her left knee and sending her tumbling to the floor.
"Will you tell me now?" She cussed six different swears at me on her way back up.
"You should know by now." She looked at my biology book.
"I'm gonna get the homework done! It's just reading, I can do that easily right before bed. And that's still hours away." She shook her head at me, and there was a knock at the door of our dorm. A low voice spoke.
"Lunchtime, Zoey!" Tora looked at me.
"Isn't this, like, your eighth date today?" I laughed, and proceeded to stand up and beatbox, rapping a song I knew.
"I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a flirt!" I playfully punched her on the arm, but I could tell she wasn't amused when she pushed me back into my chair.
"Hey!" I complained.
"Don't keep him waiting. If you're gonna break his heart, better sooner than later." I frowned at her.
"I don't mean to hurt anyone. I date because I'm trying to find the one,"I said, hating to use stupid romantic idioms, but trying to convey my message.
"Leave." She pointed to the door.
"Okay, mom," I snarled as I grabbed my purse and stuffed my phone in it. I opened the door.
"Hi, Benji." I smiled, staring into the dark brown irises in front of me. This could be him, I thought. He seems nice enough. [Two paragraphs, must be for the character your applying for.]
Name: Zoey Mason
Age: 17
Gender: female
Sexual orientation: straight! [Heterosexual, Homosexual, Bisexual?]
Appearance: Zoey has medium length black hair with bleach blonde highlights (or bleach blonde hair with black highlights. she's like a zebra). She has blue eyes and fair skin. She's average height and build. She's very punk-goth-ish. Her ears are pierced, and her current favorite earrings are the ones that look like nails were stuck through the lobes. She has a tattoo on her left forearm, and she hates wearing makeup other than a little foundation here and there and lip gloss. Her lips curl perfectly, but her nose is small (it isn't off-putting, but Zoey doesn't like it). She has a perfect complexion and long fingers. Her toes, however, look like meat stubs. Therefor, she wear close-toed shoes on a regular basis. Only her roommate, Tora, knows about her sausages, uh, I mean, toes. [What does your character look like?
Personality: Despite her clothes and hair, Zoey is a very bubbly and outgoing person. She loves to sing, dance, and play guitar, and teaches guitar lessons to anyone who wants to learn. She's not exact;y the homework-doing type, but she gets it done in time, whether it's in acceptable condition or otherwise. She'll talk to anyone, and she's a big flirt. If there's a male within a 50-foot-radius, Zoey is twirling her hair and either watching from afar, or listening and giggling. She uses her blue eyes as a weapon against loveless guys everywhere. [How does your character act? A paragraph at lease.]
History: Back at her old school, Zoey was the most popular girl. She was friends with everyone, from nerds to jocks, and sat at whatever lunch table she felt like that day. She was the on everybody liked, especially her tutor, Matt. He liked her, like, really liked her. And she knew it. She just pretended she didn't. It wasn't uncommon for guys to like her; this was routine.
Zoey's parents don't see her for the good-girl-and-popular-because-she's-nice girl she really is. They judge her based on her academic progress. Her one downfall was school. She wasn't dumb, but she just didnt' care enough to do the homework. Her parents tried to get her to improve, but this was impossible, so they sent her to SCA. She felt miserable, leaving her many friends and her three boyfriends, but soon enough, she realized this really wasn't a punishment for her. Tons of people to talk to, tons of boys to flirt with, and no parents until the summer. Life is good.
[What happened to your character before they ended up at SCA? At lease two paragraphs.]
Likes: rock music, playing instruments, singing, dancing, acting, writing stories, making up games on rainy days. [three things at lease]
Dislikes: the any shade of red that's darker than brick red, sports, mohawks, eucalyptus cough drops, homework, school. [three things at lease]
Fears: getting taken out of SCA, wild animals, losing pet hamster Madison, falling out of window, getting attacked by pet hamster Madison, ghosts (doesn't believe in them, but the thought still creeps her out) anything fantasy [two things at lease]
Talents: singing, acting, dancing, music in general, improvisiation/stand-up comedy [at lease two things]
Hobbies: writing music, drawing and painting [one thing at lease]
Medical History: Had scarlet fever when she was four, lost hearing for two years, 20/20 vision, swine flu February 2009, broken arm 1998.[/color]
(hopefully this one will be okay, it's been about my 7th try!)
